Worth celebrating!

Two things worth celebrating today. The U3A singers concert was a resounding success after we had worried that there might be more singers than audience at one point! In fact, it was 'standing room only' as they came in to enjoy an afternoon of songs and poetry - great value at only £2 a ticket (including tea and biscuits). It all went pretty well considering we only practise once a month and it concluded with a rousing chorus of 'We'll Meet Again'. Yes, I can honestly say I'm enjoying this retirement lark...

In the same vein - I was Digging for Victory today - well, for potatoes anyway and unearthed these beauties. They tasted great with a chicken casserole cooked yesterday in the slow cooker. Yes, celebrations all round...
