Dandelion

Today I went for a walk along the canal towpath in Falkirk.

The Forth and Clyde Canal crosses Scotland, providing a route for sea-going vessels between the Firth of Forth and the Firth of Clyde at the narrowest part of the Scottish Lowlands.
The canal is 35 miles (56 km) long and its eastern end is connected to the River Forth by a short stretch of the River Carron near Grangemouth.

The part of the canal I walked along was in Falkirk, Lock 4 to Lock 3 - I saw this lovely Dandelion in the hedgrow. It was a good size too, maybe 3 inches across. I took a few snaps of it, trying out my macro and DOF and then I tried to blow it.
Well, I huffed and I puffed and could I heck move any of the feather on it. I think it was held together with industrial strength glue or something.

Needless to say it's still there, Probably still will be for millenia to come! :0)
