A soldier on the parsley

A wet day today. A L asked me to accompany her to Frome to pick up her daughter's dog which I did but of course mislaid my camera before we set out! Anyhow we had a very pleasant outing including a large piece of courgette and lime cake! Fattening food seems to be coming my way these days!

Here is a Soldier Beetle (Rhagonycha fulva), so called because of its colour reminding one probably of the old redcoats that were worn. It was nosing about the parsley flowerheads in the garden.
