Falkirk Wheel

Made good enough time driving North to be able to spend a couple of hours visiting the Falkirk Wheel.

This is the 21st Century way of linking the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal - the two canals are about 30 metres apart. In the 19th Century they were linked by a series of 11 locks - which were filled in long ago.
