A fleeting moment

Today was poised to be good. It was sunny one moment, rainy the next, mud spattering and opaque glasses, lengthening shadows and bright colour, Monday one moment and Friday the next. But by the time I changed the mode back from monochrome to colour, the light on the fringes of these cumulus clouds had disappeared.
