Helping hand??

Bought this at the weekend, the instructions spend more space saying how dangerous it is, and how to dispose of the battery, but little that helped me to understand how to measure Amps!! I want to see how much current my little 400 motor draws when under load, but do not know what cables should go where. Never mind, I will stick to measuring Volts instead!!
