the measurement of merriment
Maybe it wasn't the best idea to hold a measuring cup out and have Brittanie pour flour into it, but for the sake of a good capture, it was worth it! As she was making an inevitable mess on my clothes and on the floor, we both were laughing hysterically! Putting to good use our baking skills (ha!), we were making banana bread with the overripe bananas that were close to being chucked in the wastebasket. All throughout, we couldn't refrain from laughing, not that we were trying to, as the mushy, smelly mess we were making was somehow going to be a dessert treat later on that night. I smushed bananas to the point of baby-food consistency and my gag reflex started to kick in making it a whole disgusting time while Brittanie looked at me and laughed and took pictures, naturally. Sticky hands: one of the things I hate most! Baby food: one of the grossest smelling, or might be all-around grossest food ever! But all of it was fun because we got to laugh at each other--like this picture here, that obviously genuine having-a-blast smile! After all of that, I was completely zonked and I crapped out on Brittanie's bed and never got to taste the result of our toiling above the yellowish banana creation! It left me thinking how anything so detestable could eventually be delectable! How could anything putrid turn out decent in the end? Well, I am sure that when Brittanie and I are playing chef in our kitchen, even the most nasty or most messy can become pretty darn delicious when we pull it out of the oven! Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow!
