Titley Times

Its only a house

but it never is only a house.

Today was our last ever visit to my father in laws house as the sale goes through this week.

It seemed appropriate somehow that it was rainy and overcast, and also that we were all there together - hubby, me, eldest and tiddler.

Its 4 days less than a year since hubby had his life changing op and less than a year ago we still didn't know that father in law had cancer.

Eldest had a moment as he realised that it was the end of a part of his life, that tiddler was struggling to grasp. So a quick cry (not just eldest at this point), hug and some hopefully wise words about sadness, memories and family and we drove away trying not to look back.

Eldest and hubby had an afternoon making new memories as they went on their first father - son fishing trip (it was almost a fishy blip) - success in the form of 3 fish caught and a couple that got away.
