Falling

Ah, I am falling in love.
Very slowly and careful and step by step, but it is inevitable.
As part of the "I'll stay here while you're in school" deal, it was planned that sometime this year I'd finally, after 23 years of sheer torture, buy a horse, and idea I could barely get my head around. We wanted me to get a job first. And I wanted a Thoroughbred, and it's very hard to find a calm enough Thoroughbred.
But then, I found this guy. He's a sweet, sweet perfect-looking Thoroughbred gelding. And then I got a job lined up that starts in May, and I found a barn right down the road from the townhouse.
So, now all that stands in the way is the pre-purchase vet exam.
And then he'll be mine all mine.
