Between Rhône and Saône

I thought it was about time you saw a picture of me...
Thank you all for your very nice comments on my 200th shot. I don't comment as often as I used to, for lack of time, but I always enjoy and admire your pictures, which very often inspire me! Sometimes I hardly believe that I have taken a shot every single day for nearly seven months. I hope to continue until number 365!

Anyway, here I am, standing at the very end of Lyon's Presqu'île, in an area called La Confluence, where the River Saône (on my left) merges with the River Rhône (on my right). The Rhône then continues its route down to the Mediterranean sea.

It's not quite a self-portrait (bending the rules!) but I did choose the place and the settings and counted to three before I jumped! (very tricky!)
