Finally a smile!

Having received some vouchers for a complimentary photo at a national baby-photo company, we decided to get a few more done for the grandparents.

As soon as we stepped in to the studio Nia tightened her grip on my cardigan, buried her face in my shoulder and refused to be put down, and it went downhill from there. They are not normally clingy, grizzly children but something changed them this morning and we didn't get a single smile until we left the place. Which is probably for the best as we'd have needed a remortgage to pay the photos!

So we politely refused the tear-stained, puzzled, frowning shots and just took the free ones (which were actually the best of the bunch) and went to Pizza Hut for lunch, where the paper hat produced the best smile of the morning.
