Bridal shootout & boudoir model shoot

More gorgeousness on FB... or on my blog. This was a quick pic but in the studio shots you'll see an altogether new direction for me.

I know.. Blip is about my family Blips, but since I'm 1000 shots down tonight, I'm just a little bit sleepy. This was a fantastic opportunity to learn about studio lighting, then take the stunning models outside to shoot in natural light. Great hair and makeup artists and about 3 female photographers alongside 40 males. Much easier to keep models in one position than toddlers.

Today this reminded me of why I got into photography in the 80s. My bedroom then university walls were adorned with images by Steven Meisel and his photographer contemporaries. I was quite obsessed with Vogue and still have a huge vintage collection of them, but not for the fashion, for the photography. I'd love to return to fashion photography and am certainly happier on this side of the camera.
