Is that the right word? Don't have many trees in Orkney so coming down to Shropshire has been very interesting, especially as most trees are still quite bare and you can see their branch structure so clearly.

Out for a walk from the B & B with Ollie, along a well signposted public footpath, through woodland and round fields of oilseed rape, I saw this poor tree. It is still alive, but has obviously suffered a bit! Don't know what would have started the decay in the middle, whether it's been hit by lightening or disease . . . . Pretty amazing thing to see it.
