No 91: Little Owl

Despite the weather I was determined to get out today, as yesterday sort of passed me by. I had seen reports of this little owl at a particular location, so thought I would at least see if there were any signs of it as part of my plans for the day. I had a brief stop off in Rotherham. Very brief. Then on to do a walk around a nearby reservoir, incorporating the location for the owl. No joy on the outward route, and I also got soaked as the heavens opened when I had passed the point of no return. I had a chance to dry out at a very pleasant cafe, and enjoyed a fine brew and bacon sandwich by which time the rain had stopped. On the return walk, it stayed fine and there was the little beauty. Sadly it was a bit dull, and started to rain again just asI'd managed to get this shot, so no chance of hanging around for a better one. But well pleased, for all that!
The day concluded with a bit of light shopping on Donny Market..
