Oh Oh!

Not only do we have giant slugs here but also huge furry birds! Oh no, it's a raccoon who thinks it needs birdseed. I kind of hate to feature this nuisance, but it's part of the summer journal, so I'll post him (just once!) Besides, H is threatening to shoot him.
We are going to have to give up on sunflower seeds and suet, which of course the birds don't really need this time of year anyway, but give us so much pleasure to watch.

We all had a row or a paddle this morning in spite of the november-like weather we are having, and friends C (Islandcat) and P joined us for dinner. C has rowed with this group for years so they are glad to see one another, and a very good time was had by us all. I could have blipped some of the group after the wine consumed, but they begged me to use the raccoon instead! (maybe tomorrow....)
