Cat vs. Pigs
Today I took delivery of the fat piggies. The second addition to the second round of petsitting I'm undertaking this summer. If the science sector ever completely dries up I have an extensive portfolio of clients for an animal hotel.
Daisy the cat settled in much quicker than she did when we looked after her in Glasgow. Maybe she got used to the scents of us. Maybe she just doesn't like Glasgow.
The fat piggies had a minor glitch when their usual kilo of fresh produce wasn't where it usually is, but aside from that I'm fairly sure they have no idea they aren't at home.
This photograph captures Daisy's interest in the pigs. A corresponding cat-eye view would have you observing the complete disinterest the pigs show towards the cat. She, on the other hand, is pretty fascinated with them. It's a healthy fascination at the moment, but the frequency with which she licks her lips is having me close the living room door with feline features here on the other side tonight.
