Close Encounter

Was feeling slightly jaded as I walked back over the moss after collecting Mum's prescription.
Suddenly there we were, face to face, separated by only a few feet of rough grass. We both stood stock still, eyes locked in a seemingly timeless gaze, two shy creatures staring at each other.....


(my ears aren't quite that big though - and I did also bump into mrsmozo which was very cheering :)

Incidentally, this shot was taken moments after the deer had retreated into the trees - before it moved it was so close I could almost have touched it
