Class of 2011

The very first matric class for The Mountain Cambridge School, celebrated their '40 Days' today!

It was quite an emotional day for C&R snr as well as for me, since R jnr is part of this historical moment in the school's history, and hey, it is not really easy to realise that their only child and my only grandchild is not a 'child' anymore! Eisch!

Management and staff decided to surprise them today, and about 30 minutes before the end of the school day the principal called all twelve of them to the amphitheatre and started giving them a pep talk on being prepared for the exams and telling them how disappointed the staff are with them being só slack, and she's just waiting for Mr R snr to come to the arena, because he has a lot on his mind as well, etc!! Needless to say, they were really upset with her, being such a nasty person, and that on their 'day of celebrations'!

In the meantime, C went to town to buy them each a pizza, a red rose for each girl and a slab of chocolates for each boy, since their matric dance, which will be held on 9 September, will have an Italian theme, and R snr and Dino, their sports teacher, brought it into the arena on R's motorbike. Their pizzzas, choccies and roses were handed to them, together with their official invitations to the matric dance! They were totally overwhelmed, because they never even suspected anything, since the principal seemed to be só annoyed with them!!
The surprise factor made this even more precious, I don't think they will easily forget this day!

I back blipped for Wednesday and Thursday if you're interested! Eisch, this was a tough week, but C went to the office with me every day, which was invaluable to me!! I appreciate her help more than I can ever say! She is really working só hard, bathing me, washing and drying my hair, dressing me, cooking for us and then cutting my food into manageable pieces, and to top it all, supporting me at work the whole day! Do you get lots of daughters like that? I don't think they are tóó plentiful!! ;-)
