morning sky
i'm not one to do a sunrise...
many on blip do awesome sky scenes... so i actually hesitated in putting this up - doubting that it was any good or worth being posted.
but in the end, as so often is the case... it signifies one of those simple moments for me. i try to capture clouds... the sky... the sun... a sunrise... a sunset - seemingly to no avail. i feel like i'm much too hard on myself and probably compare where comparing is detrimental... for isn't it really all in the eye of the beholder? it is what we see, isn't it? what we observe - what we are taking in and then what we choose to share with others... what our day represents?
i choose to share this today... for one minute the sky was semi-dark - and the next, there were these awesome streaks of color. i felt they were just for me - god taking his finger and painting across the sky... randomly... some on top, some on the bottom; leaving this purplish hue in the middle to show off the trees.
i don't know if i've captured it to its greatest perspective. i still don't understand f-stops and settings on my new camera, shutter speeds and such... so have no idea what i might have done differently to help show this off to better advantage. let me know if you have suggestions, so i can learn because i do desire that more than anything.
in the meantime... i stood in wonder at how quickly things change. for within a matter of several frames these colors were gone, the sky appeared totally different and i was grateful for that one special moment... it made for a
happy day.....
