You Old Goat!
This handsome chap decorates an urn set atop the gates of the Wallace Collection, in London's fashionable Manchester Square.
Richard Seymour-Conway, 4th Marquess of Hertford, left the collection to his illegitimate son Sir Richard Wallace. In turn, Wallace's widow bequethed it to the nation in 1897, on the understanding that nothing should ever leave the collection, even on temporary loan.
Today, the public can enjoy 25 galleries of paintings, furniture, armour & porcelain. It's well worth a visit, and admission is free. Hooray!
Off for a pint. Catch up with you tomorrow!
