The Swinging Sixties

In the 60s and 70s Portobello Road and the surrounding areas were very radical. The Angry Brigade and Frestonia are linked with the area as are The Clash. Nowadays it's slowly turning into tourist tatsville - many people blame the film Notting Hill for making it fashionable - I just think it's the greedy bastards that ruin everywhere else too.

Example above, a shop that sells nothing but terrible vinyl bags with pictures from the swinging sixties on them. Tat.
