Earthquake Cliffs At Sumner

I had to laugh to see the graffiti on the container at the bottom of this cliff.
The containers are several high and are placed between the edge of the seaside road and the falling rocks, hopefully to stop them rolling down on to us as we drive past. The houses at the top of the cliffs were previously amongst the most desireable and expensive in our city and had the most outstanding views imagineable of the coastline, out to sea in several directions, the plains, the mountains and the city. Now of course most of the city, instead of admiring and envying the inhabitants are grateful to be safe and securely on the flats. THis house is one of the more eaily photographed disasters, but there are many like this.
The photo looks more scary in large especially the actual house part of it. I have included it this way to show how high and steep that cliff has become in recent times. It is not a visual illusion!!
