Flowers for Lydia

Today Auntie Lydia was buried. She had a long life and died shortly after her 105th birthday. Tonight she is with her husband who died 15 years ago and her mother who died in 1967, in Kensal Green Cemetery, London.

This was obviously a sad occasion, but people spoke of all the happy times that they shared with her. We remembered the day 7 years ago when we took her brother (my father in law) to visit her. They had not met up for several years, but she sat and chatted about the time that he was born. She was an 11 year old and wanted a new dress for Christmas, but had a new baby brother instead!!
