Last Day

I went in search of ladybird chrysalides again today, but there was no sign of them.

So then I headed to the cycle path where I had seen a Six-spot/Slender Burnet moth. I saw two of them today - one whizzed past my head like a mini-helicopter and then I noticed this poor guy. As you can see, his left wing is torn. He was making sad fluttering hops across the path, only stopping when he reached and climbed the grass here.

I watched him for a few minutes, but he didn't seem inclined to try going anywhere else.
