Flood, tempest and storm...

Was what we had in South Edinburgh last week. Flash floods when cars were being carried down the road driverless.

The famous basements flooded - one foot and more of water. The boilers were overwhelmed and are still shut down. Book stock was lost. The Archive store suffered most.

And here we are in the midst of a disaster recovery period.

These are some of the archive records - the National Registers just confirmed last week they would be interested in having them. The day before the flood waters rose!

So here they are being dried out! In - wait for it - cat litter! Make sense?
