"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" I think this sums it up very well.

Regardsless of where we stand in our views of the war in Iraq, regardless of being peace loving, war monger or somewhere in between. Simply put, Selfless...


Now I know that many folks have died prior to Michael, and many since. (and many more to come unfortunatley) Most get a little mention in their home town paper, or on the nightly news. Some die in operations we probably don't know about, or win the "God Lottery" as I heard someone once call it, maybe a accident while serving but none the less, we are losing great men and women. To all of them: Thank You.

Never in my life had a news article made me so sensitive to the world around me. I served in the first Gulf War. It seems ages ago, Ages.... Is he a Hero, Absolutley and he deserves this accolade and to always be remembered. And so for Michael, and the 4,000 others who died to date: May god bless you and protect you.

To be as selfless as Michael and give your own life to save your fellow Seals and others from Iraq, I am awe struck at his bravery....
