Eagle in the Arbutus

The pair of bald eagles were sitting in the trees just off the beach. I did catch one taking off against a white sky, but this watchful one with all the patterns of the orange branches and twisty twigs of the arbutus and the green fir just appealed to me today.... I have yet to catch them fishing but will keep looking for a dramatic shot with the camera. I'm also looking for the oystercatchers everyday but have only seen them once on our beach... :-(

Grey, breezy and chilly with pathetic half hearted rain showers today. (if it's going to rain, let it rain!!) Tomorrow 3 members of our old rowing club are coming for the weekend - more about them later....
