baby's day out

my big day in the city started off at cafe 55 for breakfast. from there it was time square where many magical events took place, including playing wii at toys r us, my accomplice being accosted by a young musical artist and being hari krishna'd into "donating" money for his cd, and a trip to the m&m warehouse.

the "tkts" booth has been moved from where it was last time i was in new york. we found it but it did not appear to be open. it didn't matter anyway, seeing as how i forgot you need to dress up for broadway performances, and i did not have enough foresight to pack a "dressy" change of clothes. what this means is no rent or avenue q (but next time).

we met up with a friend and ate at china town, where we were informed by an older chinese woman that we had picked the wrong dumpling restaraunt.

while my travel partner attended his interview, i hung out with our friend from college days and ventured into the gucci store, feeling woefully under-dressed.

that night we all stayed up talked. there was drinking and hukka smoking abound. then it was off to bed.
