I read with interest the latest blipblog on street photography and I had also noticed the piece on the BBC website on David Peat. I'm not so sure that I share the opinion that there is a resurgence of street photography; I reckon it's has never really went away, what I will assert is that it's a big city game. Most if not all of the street photography I see here and elsewhere is contained within big cities. Those of us living and working in much smaller communities stand out like a sore thumb, you can't hide amongst the huge density of tourist cameras that exist amongst our bigger cities, you are more likely to be challenged angrily or otherwise....... or maybe I'm just a big coward?
