goose on the rocks...

sounds like a special drink... doesn't it? perhaps a martini? well, i know there's grey goose vodka...

anyway... the poor geese were in a tizzy today... not quite knowing what to do with themselves - they were thrown out of their regular routine by some filming company that was set up at one end of our little lake. did they ask permission? huh! i doubt it... there were trucks... carts... people... cameras... special lights... more people... all scattered over the grassy area where the geese and ducks usually graze - a definite disruption. i did take some pictures but then forgot to ask for the okay to post... so didn't think it would be proper for me to use them here. it was all very interesting however, i was more concerned for the welfare of my animal friends.

here you can see, they were taking to scaling one of the rocky walls that leads up to a running trail... i've never seen them do that before - especially because people also bike there and it can be dangerous.

so... of course... you can imagine the conversations i was having with them - about being careful... not hurting their webbed feet... not sliding down the rocks because we've had lots of rain and i thought it was probably slippery... in the end, they made their way back down the wall and we headed down the path. i felt like a goose herder...
