Past times, good times
People will not look forward to posterity, who never look backward to their ancestors.
Edmund Burke, British Statesman and Philosopher, 1729-1797
My young grandfather's image sits on a shelf of memories. He was the eldest, of five, we recite the list to help us remember the birth order, Gordon, Abbie, Ruth, George, Sam. All gone, all well remembered.
This home on the hill, a childhood haven before he weighed anchor into his future, loves a gang, company, activity, good food and fun. Our nephew returned to Massachusetts yesterday, last night, we settled into our familiar twosome, embracing what this house also does brilliantly, quiet. This afternoon the gang that is T's family will arrive, 8 relations longing to laugh and enjoy and make new memories. Let the fun begin. OurMolly would just throw her hands up at the number, and that makes me laugh.
a blip from last summer...
For the Record, This day came in warm with sun and a gentle breeze.
