Going, Going Almost Gone

These were an avenue of high pine trees along the main highway and railway line.

One of them (further along) fell on a train carriage during the galeforce winds last week.

For safety, they are all being cut down. Still a lot to go as they are very very tall.

All that is left of are the bare trunks.
