Passed this place several times but didn't realize it's recent history until reading a book recently. In the 60's it was home to a guy who had fallen out with the Krays in London and moved to Wales to get away from them. Or so the story goes.

He had some well known friends and the house was to be visited by members of the Rolling Stones, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and possibly Bob Dylan.

Maybe a coincidence, but the area became known as a secluded drug paradise and a few years later was the centre of the UK's LSD production - Google 'Operation Julie' if you want to read more about this.
