Pincushion flowers

Little opportunity to get out with my camera today. Took son number one into work with me for him to do some casual data entry work.

At lunchtime we had the world premiere of a video of our activities at the Cheltenham Science Festival. Some of my colleagues have had a good time making it and it shows what we got up to at the festival. I provided popcorn....we couldn't quite manage a red carpet. Two days of filming were condensed into about 12 minutes of video. The outtakes were pretty good too.

The skies were cloudy and grey by the time I got home. Not much around in the garden apart from bees, hoverflies and rampaging rose saw flies chomping their way through my climbing rose. Decided I liked these hairy scabious (or pincushion) buds best.

Day off tomorrow to do School Governor duties.....not happy ones unfortunately. Must brush up on my 'Governor's guide to the law' CD before tomorrow.
