Chaffinch

One of the many chaffinches around at Birnie Loch, Fife.

Whilst there I saw a great-crested grebe sitting on a nest. This surprised me because I saw a pair of great-crested grebes with 2 chicks here a couple of months ago. This must be a second brood on the way. Unfortunately, the nest is too far away to get a decent quality image. I'll maybe take a tripod with me and try again another time.
