Look at the way she's glaring at me!

The nest is in the pear tree just below where she is perched. Dad has just fed the little ones a tasty moth and is taking off to look for more.

I plopped myself down in an Adirondack chair with my 300 mm lens and waited patiently until Mom and Dad were both in the shot. The babies must be hungry, because they were flitting back and forth busily with bugs. After a few minutes of shyness, they let me stay and watch.

But she still did not like my snoopiness and let me know it in no uncertain terms!!! Check out her face in large.

I need to harvest the garlic, which is right next to the pear trees.

That is not going to be easy.
