What is Yellow?

Yellow is the colour of the sun...
Yellow is the colour of sunflowers...
Yellow is the colour of happy...
Yellow is the colour of celebration...

And we have something to celebrate - WE HAVE BOUGHT THE HOUSE!!!!!!! :))

Poor D was up at the crack of dawn this morning as him and K were heading off to play golf at Bergerac. He played the best first 9 holes of his golfing career which, if he had continued at that level, would have seen his handicap tumble to 16, but just after the 9th he got a phone call from our solicitor with an update on the on-going negotiations with the house we viewed twice the week before we came on holiday.

The specialist reports we asked for are in (the house is 111 years old so wanted roof, dampness, flooring etc checked out) and no major problems other than some work needing done on the roof (£15k taken off the price of the house so that will cover that).

After the conversation, excitment that the house might actually be ours kind of affected his game but he says he didn't care! :)))

When he got back he gave me a quick update, checked I was happy with the discussions he had had (I was!) and all that was left was for him to do was phone our solicitor and confirm the deal! This has been done.

OMG!

I am grinning like a mad thing! I thought this holiday couldn't get any better but it just has! And then some! :)))))

So my blipfriends, for those of you have been with me for this saga, in the end we didn't buy THE house but The Contender.....and it looks like we get the keys on 4th November!! There will definitely be fireworks on the 5th! :))

The champagne will get getting popped tonight! Woo hoo :))

And THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for all the views and all your lovely comments on my 100th blip yesterday. You had me a snivelling wreck! And of course laughing till my sides were sore at the amputated finger comments......I had wanted the blip to be so arty too! hahahahahahahahaha! Loved it! And it made spotlight too! How extra special is that?! :))

I haven't managed to reply to you all yet, but I will. You are the BEST friends I have never met! :))

Today's blip features those gorgeous sunflowers again. I am sure you will forgive me but I just could not resist them, they are just SO beautiful. Plus J & A risked life and limb to nick pick them from the field up the road. They said they were being watched by a fierce looking French crone with a vicious, sharp fanged dangerous dog that she was about to set on them!!!!!

Turns out it was a lovely French lady from the house up the lane who has a charming, friendly little cocker spaniel. Who says 16 year old girls are drama queens! *rolls eyes*

Woo hoo......have I mentioned we have our house????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
