Durness at twilight
I barely slept last night, it was too hot and I just couldn't get off to sleep. The only plus of being up until 5am was that I managed to read Ham on Rye in less than twelve hours with breaks. That was small consolation today though as I was shattered. I made it out for a couple of walks though, both of which involved the pub.
After the first one I tried to get some shots of waves breaking on the rocks but apparently four hours sleep and a pint of Guinness isn't conducive to scrambling about rocks with camera gear. The only option was back to the cottage for a nap. After that it was time for dinner then a walk round the coast a bit before heading back to the pub for another couple of medicinal pints of Guinness so that, hopefully, I'll sleep tonight.... I'm running out of books having finished three since leaving Queensferry on Friday (I was more than half way through one of them).
The light when we went out to the pub was lovely so I managed to get a few shots. Might have to get out a bit earlier tomorrow so I can get some shots of the coast in this light.
