Slioch Summit

Uncle Science and I took on a 1km vertical ascent to the summit of Slioch (OS19 Ref: 00/69). An epic walk by my standards with a great reward at the end.
Red deer and golden eagles added to a truly awsome experience at the summit.
From a scorching 1hr walk in to the foot of the munro we heard distant thunder and watched rain clouds pass down Loch Maree at the top.
The views over Skye, a distant Harris and miles of visible peaks were breath taking.
A quick dip in a tarn on the way down, a royal soaking on the walk out meant a well earned pint was called for back in Gairloch.
