TALL SHIP LOST IN ABERDEEN!!
Oh my. I had a wee laugh, and a panic, today when I saw this...hopefully it's not off course, as the tall ships race is in Greenock not Aberdeen (wrong coast!) It looked rather out of place in the queue along with the liners.
I've worked this queuing thing out now. Each day there are 6 or 7 big liners, ferries, ships anchored off the coast in Aberdeen - obviously waiting docking time. Susan and I sat watching several liners leave and several other ships enter the docks. Never ending.
The harbour is absolutely jammed. As we walked past, it was clear that the waiting in line is essential. I don't actually know how they all fit in there. I have seen many harbours but never one like this!
The sound of seagulls is pretty invasive all around - they are huge and make such a racket all day long. They crank up pretty early too. Must shut the window tonight! Was awakened to a screaming match between tow families today at 5am...
Had a really lovely day. Walk into town (a good hike) and saw where Susan works, had soup in a lovely town cafe, bought some blank cards for my Blipcards to be mounted on, saw a movie (Larry Crowne - good fun and did not deserve the bad press it has had!) and walked home by the beach with our cameras looking like prize grockles. I love spending good and quality times with my wee girl!
