Applecross Panorama
So, today we left Applecross and before we headed over the Pass of the Cattle (the highest road in the UK) we stopped to buy fuel from the Community Filling Station (what a brilliant idea - can we have more please?) and I took this series of photos looking out over the loch. It's my first attempt at a panorama and I've not got any stitching software, or even something to fuzz the edges so you can't see where one shot stops and another one starts. And also, no-body tells you about panorama shots that you have to be careful of the clouds moving and the waves lapping - gah!
Anyway, in an attempt at catching up with myself, this isn't perfect, but it'll do. And yes, I know that I'm an incompetent amateur who didn't wipe the rain drop off the lens... :o)
The Pass of the Cattle, by the by, is absolutely stunning and if you're in the area you really ought to drive over it, unless you're spooked by teeny twisty narrow roads. But then you probably haven't got to Applecross at all...
