Castle

KMS, as part of a geometry project, had to build a castle of specific dimensions. Since I do cakes as a hobby, she decided that she HAD to make hers out of cake. When she told me the exact specifications of her particular castle (each students is vastly different, so they can't cheat), we decided that the best course of action was to put the castle on a cake base. So...I baked the cake, iced it and created the moat. KMS modeled the walls and turrets out of rice crispy treats, and iced it with gray bricks. Since she has so much room in the corner, she fashioned a dragon out of fondant. She's so creative.
Her castle won the 'best castle award' and she received a graphing calculator that is a couple steps up from the one she already had. Now, she's ready for Algebra II!
