Wensleydale
For cheese today.
We took child #2 as the other two were still spread all over town.
We bought cheese and had lunch at the restaurant there - it was delicious! I had a burger, Jane had fish and Nevyn had macaroni cheese - I tasted them all!!
We wandered slowly home stopping off at the Hawes ROC post to see what it was like (I stayed in the car with dogs while the other two did the wanderings); we went to Cotter Falls, wandering along in the sunshine to a spectacular set of waterfalls - I just didn't like any of my pictures.
This picture (HDR tonemapped - it makes it more like the view through my glasses) was on the way home, before we got to Kirby Stephen where Jane spotted some derelict looking railway carriages. Obviously, we stopped there, where she got her blip for today.
If anyone is in the area, the Railway station at Kirby Stephen is celebrating 150 years soon. I really enjoyed myself today - and that was just looking at the trains and the half-finished station so I fully intend to be there for the celebrations! Look here for more info on the restoration project and here for information on the 150th bash.
