Geek Chic

At the recommendation of a friend, we took our boy to an aviation enthusiasts day at a viewing point today. Boo was rather excited by all the planes (and trains and cars and bikes). He spent lots of time pretending to be various modes of transport and also sat in a tornado cockpit, a train engine cabin and a formula 3 racing car.

I got rather carried away rummaging through 3 huge boxes of photos, they seemed to be a lifetime collection of images from a trainspotter, 20p a shot. I picked up 3 gorgeous ones - not amazing in a deliberate photographic way, just very old looking, faded, light-leaky, rough at the edges, lovely. Also got an old b+w publicity shot of some folk boarding an old aircraft. I really am becoming quite the geek.

So, as for the blip - a bunch of plane-spotters atop an old bus.
