In The Occupied Territory

This Old House

Went into Union Square to get some stuff from Boots and had a coffee and a sandwich, not from Boots.
Instead of coming straight home, we had a slight diversion via a drive via Collieston, Peterhead, Crimond and Mintlaw. Stopping only in Colliestone, which is one of the most beautiful places in the area. It is right on the coast and the house are built on the hillside. There are no shops, pubs or anything, Although I did notice that they have a coffee plce open between 12 and 2 on Saturdays and Sundays, Yep, that will really get the tourists in. Actually, the whole charm of the place is the fact that there is none of that, just a lovely little beach and harbour, where the £1 parking fee goes to repairs to the pier.
The cottage on the top of the hill in this blip, was once occupied by Lawrence Of Arabia, after the war when he wanted to get away from it all. at the time it had no power or gas or anything.
