Cabin Fever
It all went wrong when I finished teaching.
I had intended to wander homeward. Barbers, some food shops, some fine wines, maybe a cake. Instead I foolishly decided to head over to Princes Street. Just to run the one errand. That I hadn't the day before. Monsoon, see.
It seems every tourist in Edinburgh was making up for lost gawking and dawdling time due to same monsoon. And the shoppers were out in force too. Upshot is I legged it when I saw the first bus that would speed me home. The cupboards are bare.
Just got home as round two of the monsoon arrived. And stayed for the rest of the afternoon.
Then much lying on sofa. Avoiding the work in the rucksack, staring at me from the other sofa.
