Here's son #1 and #2 looking into the seal tank in Bristol Zoo.

After spending a King's Ransom to get in we stuck it out for the long haul to get value for money. Mr and Mrs WG, our visitors from London, and their two children had, I think, a mighty fine time.

Son #1 went on the aerial high ropes course which he has been wanting to do for some time so he was happy until about 10 seconds after he'd finished and fancied an ice cream!

I followed him, being Dad and all, and had a good time. Just the right mixture of challenge and fear for a six year old (and possibly a forty year old).

Saw a great animal show with a parrot, a rat, a raccoon and a meerkat (overdosing on meerkats I think..). Entertaining and informative about the threat to habitats and the perils of actually attempting to own a parrot.

Then feeding Rainbow Lorikeets by hand. Son #1 was in seventh heaven.

All followed by lazing in the garden, as if heavily sedated.

Run: 5.26 miles @ 9.04 min/mile together with running partner, Mr WG!
