Actias luna

Actias luna, commonly known as the Luna Moth, is a lime-green, Nearctic Saturniid moth. It has a wingspan of up to four and a half inches, making it one of the largest moths in North America. They can live up to 7 days and will produce only one generation per year.

I found this Luna moth while working in the yard. He/she stayed on that rock most of the day. I couldn't find it the next day but, just yesterday I noticed a dead one laying near the edge of the woods. Not sure if it was the same one or not.
