Dig in !

A great day out in Flanders watching the legendary one day classic race.

This picture was taken on the Paterberg, one of 17 climbs in the race. The climb that follows is 22% at it's steepest point on cobbles !

Having ridden a shortened version of the route (140km) the day before, I can fully understand what is going through this riders mind.

The pro's manage to cover the 260km in around six and a half hours, the same time it took us to do 140km. This just shows how extremely fit they are (or how unfit I am ?).
