cycling with Steven

yesterday was a busy day. I was up before 6 finishing off packing our stuff and sorting out the animals who weren't coming along (have you ever tried cycling with a chicken in tow?)
Oldest Spitzichild, who actually almost functions in the mornings, was then woken to help. And once we were ready we woke the morning monsters, got them propelled into cycling shorts etc and into the car....because we had all the bikes in the trailer and first had to drive down to the lake, park, get on a train, go up the side of the Rhine to get to one of the border points between Switzerland and Lichtenstein and meet our cycling friend for the day.

And then we cycled and cycled and cycled until we were back to the car (52km) then we came home in the car whilst Steven kind of found his way here....he was so close but managed to miss meeting me, children and dog at the top of the road and then it took us about an hour to find each other again!

The lovely day culminated in The Eating of the Marmot....yes, fluffy rodent, that's what I meant yesterday....and it was DELICIOUS!! Here is the Unicycle50 man himself taking a photo of the marmot-meal! See yesterday's blip for a link to his blog.
